2025 Year in Review: Bridging Research and Reality in Europe and Africa
From Field Facts to Systemic Change: A 2025 Retrospective
As 2025 draws to a close, it is a moment to pause and reflect not just on what we achieved, but how we achieved it. This past year was defined by a crucial shift: moving beyond isolated interventions and embracing a truly systemic approach to inclusion, democracy, and economic models.
It was a year where our core mission evolved, our geographical scope expanded, and our understanding of barriers deepened. Here is a look back at the defining themes of our work in 2025 and a look ahead at where we are going.
The Core Mission: Strengthening the Feedback Loop
At the heart of our work is a rigorous commitment to advancing inclusive business models, particularly those accessible to women. However, we recognized that advocacy without evidence is hollow.
Therefore, we focused heavily on perfecting a systemic loop: gathering irrefutable "field facts," analyzing the data, and producing high-level research based on that reality.
This approach allowed us to place democratic governance and social enterprise at the center of management and societal discussions, backed by the weight of real-world evidence.
Expanding Boundaries: A Broader View of Inclusion
Our work naturally outgrew its initial scope in 2025. We realized that economic models cannot be fixed in a vacuum; they are deeply intertwined with the broader democratic health of a society.
From Europe to Africa, we supported dialogue and actions that connected economic approaches directly with necessary social transformation.
A critical part of this expansion was deepening our approach to disability inclusion. We moved beyond the traditional focus on individuals and instead audited the systems around them.
We recognized that barriers, and therefore solutions, are deeply rooted in the environment itself. By shifting the focus from "fixing individuals" to "fixing systems," we advocated for inclusion that is both more effective and more sustainable.
Resilience and Focus: The Madagascar Commitment
The year was not without its hurdles. Despite significant uncertainty during the final quarter of 2025, our resolve did not waver.
We continued our steadfast advocacy for sustainable and responsible investment in Madagascar~, along with Madagascar Invest.
By sharing insights on general life aspects in Madagascar and investment context in particular, we contributed to a better understanding of society and the business world.
Looking Ahead to 2026
2025 marked a turning point where we successfully bridged the gap between systemic research and field realities, turning abstract concepts of gender, disability, and environment into tangible levers for action.
As we look toward 2026, our mission remains crystal clear. We will continue to provide the rigorous fact-checking, data-driven research, and field-based analysis that the world needs.
In an increasingly complex landscape, we commit to keeping human dignity and environmental sustainability at the very center of everything we do.
Thank you to our partners, our collaborators, and everyone who engaged with our work this year. Here is to continue impact in 2026.
