A Manifesto
Context
Across international, regional, and local landscapes, societies are confronting widening inequalities, weakened democratic participation, and economic systems that too often prioritize extraction over human well-being. Yet within this complexity lies opportunity: the possibility to rebuild our economies around purpose, inclusion, and shared social value.
Regi Consilium emerges in response to this moment. Our work is grounded in the conviction that communities thrive when knowledge is democratized, when social enterprises are empowered, and when women have equitable access to the tools, research, and opportunities necessary to lead transformative change.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to advocate for, and actively build, a more democratic, socially inclusive environment through a purpose-driven economy.
We do this by bridging the gap between knowledge and action:
pioneering new models of social enterprise, and
making high-quality research on this evolving economic structure accessible, inclusive, and widely available, with a targeted focus on empowering women and marginalized groups.
Core Activities
Our strategic framework is structured around three interconnected activities. Together, they generate systemic change and measurable social impact.
1. Promoting a New Economic Paradigm Through Social Enterprise
Mandate
To establish and advocate for economic models where social outcomes and democratic participation take precedence over extractive profit.
Action
Advising mission-driven businesses or Social Enterprises, that embed democratic principles and community-centered priorities throughout their operations.
Focus
Developing self-sustaining economic loops that maximize Social Return on Investment (SROI) and reinforce resilient, inclusive local ecosystems.
2. Advancing Rigorous Research and Policy Advocacy
Mandate
To cultivate and promote research that illuminates the full ecosystem of Social Enterprise, turning academic insight into actionable foundations for policy and practice.
Actions
Research: Producing rigorous academic and applied studies on social enterprise mechanics, policy environments, and impact measurement.
Advocacy: Promoting economic models that prioritize social and environmental outcomes over pure financial profit.
Focus
Delivering data-driven insights to policymakers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, and researchers to ensure decisions and strategies are evidence-based and socially grounded.
3. Ensuring Equitable Access to Research and Social Enterprise for Women
Mandate
To confront systemic inequities by making research insights and economic opportunities accessible, relevant, and empowering for women.
Action
Developing specialized programs that dismantle barriers preventing women from entering, leading, and shaping the social economy and the research landscape.
Focus
Advancing gender equity and fostering inclusive leadership within the emerging purpose-driven economy.
Strategic Objectives and the Action Loop
Our strategic objectives define the concrete, lasting outcomes we aim to achieve through the convergence of our core activities. Together, these activities form a continuous action loop that reinforces itself over time:
Research informs enterprise: Evidence and insight create blueprints for effective, socially grounded enterprise models.
Enterprise generates data: Active social enterprises produce real-world feedback, deepening and refining ongoing research.
Knowledge empowers society: Research and economic opportunities are openly shared, especially with women, ensuring inclusive participation and collective agency.
Policy advocacy builds structural change: When robust research combines with proven enterprise models, it generates credible, actionable recommendations for the government.
This drives policy that recognizes and prioritizes Social Enterprise as a legitimate and essential economic force.
